Simon's Saturday 2/18/2012Simon is a 2nd grade student at St. Ann's School. He's been fighting leukemia for most of his life and wil be undergoing a bone marrow transplant on February 9th. There are many children and adults who also need this life saving transplant - anyone of them could be your child, sibling, parent or friend. So, let's celebrate Simon and his fight by getting swabbed. February 18th will be a bone marrow donor drive. A quick cheek swab and you will be entered into the donor database. It's fast, easy and saves lives. Please click here for a copy of the flyer with more information. You can also search for "Simon's Saturday - Bone Marrow Drive" on Facebook, or call Kelly Sisonick at 484-347-7258 or email her at kelly.sisonick@parentebeard.com. Please help if you can. Everyone deserves a chance at life. |

There's also a website www.faithfulcitizenship.org which has a wealth of resources for all Catholics as well as Parish & School Leaders, Diocesan & Community Leaders, and very importantly, young Catholics. Please visit their site and pass along their link to your friends to educate them about the Catholic view of... | By Knight Blogger on 10/29/2008 2:40 PM
Cardinal Egan, of New York, had published a very thought provoking article regarding the beginning of life debate. From his letter:
"If there is a time when something less than a human being in a mother morphs into a human being, it is not a time that anyone has ever been able to identify, though many have made guesses. However, guesses are of no help. A man with a shotgun who decides to shoot a being that he believes may be a human being is properly hauled before a judge. And hopefully, the judge in... | By Knight Blogger on 10/24/2008 11:00 AM

When Knight Blogger posted the earlier blog entry about the importance of the Catholic vote, he didn't realize the video was part of a bigger picture. The video is from www.catholicvote.com. Besides the video (a must see), the site has some excellent articles and posts to reflect on while contemplating your election day decision. Remember - Vote Pro-Life.

A 30-second radio spot encouraging people to “vote pro-life” in the November elections began running on radio stations around the United States Sept. 23 It will continue to air until the Nov. 4 election.
The ad features the sound of an unborn baby’s heartbeat at 10 weeks, and the voice of a woman saying, “Listening to this makes me wonder – why would anyone question that her life has begun?” It concludes with the words, “Vote your heart. Vote Pro Life.”
“The fact that the child whose heartbeat... | By Knight Blogger on 9/23/2008 8:43 AM
One of the huge and important benefits of being a Knight, is the ability to participate in the K of C insurance program.
