Help Simon!

Simon's Saturday 2/18/2012

Simon is a 2nd grade student at St. Ann's School. He's been fighting leukemia for most of his life and wil be undergoing a bone marrow transplant on February 9th. There are many children and adults who also need this life saving transplant - anyone of them could be your child, sibling, parent or friend. So, let's celebrate Simon and his fight by getting swabbed. February 18th will be a bone marrow donor drive. A quick cheek swab and you will be entered into the donor database. It's fast, easy and saves lives. Please click here for a copy of the flyer with more information. This is from an email that must have been circulating a while. It's a piece from ABC News back in Feb 2007 called "Person of the Week". They spotlighted Bert Brady, who tells a heartwarming story of support of our troops. You can read the interview here and watch the video from YouTube here. While the story is a little on the old side, the message is valuable. One person and one kind act can make the difference to a whole bunch of people. Enjoy.
