Most folks view this time as a day off from work, the opening of pools, and the unofficial start of the summer season.  However, there is a very important aspect to this holiday that we seldom take the time to think about. It is a day, set aside in our country, to remember those in our military that died in service to others. Please remember in prayer and deed, all of our brave men and women that have fallen, for our sake, due to the perils of war.</p> <p>There is a White House Commission on Rememberence, that is coordinating an event for Memorial Day. <span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"><font face="Arial" size="2">The <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">National Moment of Remembrance</em>, established by Congress, asks Americans wherever they are at 3 p.m., local time, on Memorial Day to pause in an act of national unity</font></span>.
