SUMMARY:Blood Drive
DESCRIPTION:Miller-Keystone Blood Center and the Diocese of Allentown are teaming up to host a diocese-wide blood drive in honor of Saint Januarius\, the patron saint of blood banks. Parishioners are encouraged to donate blood at one of MKBC’s donor centers beginning on the Feast Day of Saint Januarius\, September 19th\, through December 16th\, one of the miracle dates of his blood liquification. In addition to saving lives\, all donors who provide their parish’s Sponsor Code at the time of their appointment will receive a Saint Januarius medallion\, blessed by Bishop Schlert. We will also have prayer cards available for those donors who already have a medallion from last year and would prefer a prayer card instead. DESCRIPTION:There are many families still struggling in our local community. Food insecurity is an ongoing issue that has only become more difficult with the growing population. There are so many families predicted to go hungry this year. \n\n\n\nYou can help by bringing nonperishable food items or health and hygiene items to our DRIVE-THRU FOOD COLLECTION at the Parish Life Center\, on Fairview Street. Rain or shine! \n\n\n\nPlace any donations in the trunk of your vehicle. Our member volunteers will take the items from your trunk without you having to exit your vehicle! It’s quick and easy and these donations make a big difference to so many local families. \n\n\n\nThank you for your help\, generosity\, and prayers for the families. Food donations will benefit Catholic Charities Diocese of Allentown. School supplies will benefit Mercy Special Learning Center in Allentown https://www.mercyschool.org. \n\n\n\nNot sure what is needed?
